As the founder and managing member of Level on the Level, Blake Smith brings over twenty years of experience in the Austin building community. His passion for the craft is evident in every project, where he acts as a bridge between architectural vision and client expectations. By collaborating closely with architects and owners, Blake ensures that every design is realized through the expertise of the industry’s finest tradespeople.

Blake is a staunch advocate for Passive House Standards, focusing on creating homes that are as comfortable as they are energy efficient. A dual-certified Passive House Tradesperson and Consultant (PHI), he emphasizes the power of design to reduce energy demand. “While we can draw energy from many sources,” Blake notes, “we have the unique power to control our own demand through smart, passive standards.” Through continuous education and a deep network in the building science community, Blake remains at the forefront of high-performance construction.
